Hello! Thank you for the offer, it comes to meet my career path desires, as working with IBM was in my scope for the last few years (did not apply earlier as I wanted to get a solid pool of knowledge/expertise before, to best meet the challenges likely to arise). In reply to your offer for further assistance and information, I would like to submit several questions: 1. regarding the position: - what would be the normal working schedule ? - does it include on-call shifts, and/or night shifts ? - is the starting date fixed on 1st of March, or can it be postponed if needed ? Meaning, February only has 28 days, and as stated on the phone I will require a 15 days notice before leaving my current position (wich I shall submit the moment we have the final agreement). This part may not require ad literam follow through, as it can also be agreed by both parties to be reduced, or considered obsolete, but i cannot know that for sure until I raise the matter. 2. regarding the wage: - as the proposal you forwarded would fall pretty tight with the projected expenses, and as being that you stated that it is subject to minor negotiations, I would like to enquire about the possibility of having it raised to ~23.500 CZK (net income) - according to my rough calculations this would raise the gross amount with ~1200-1300 CZK. - I would like to know more about career advancement oportunities, pending worthy results from my part, as I am in the state of being engaged to be married - and if taking this step I have to also consider finacially sustaining my spouse, also. 3. regarding the email with the offer: - what does "signed scanned copy of passport or ID card" stand for ? does the copy need to be legally stamped by an attorney of law, or would a personal signature sufice ? - the personal data sheet just needs to be filled in and sent via e-mail ? - about the pension fund: stating that the company will offer contribution pending the completion of 3 years, does this mean that the first 3 years are not counted for pension calculation/length of service? - medical plan is listed as "co-funded by IBM"; does this mean that it is partially paid by the company, and will require further payment by the employee? Do I need to evaluate this as an additional expense to be taken in consideration? - if agreed, what would be the follow-through procedure ? What other documents would need be to be submitted, and in wich step can it be considered as "final" ? I thank you for you time and apologize for the ammount of enquireing arose, but this is proving to be a difficult choice to make (due to personal and financial reasons), and although I am inclined to accept I would still like to know the most I can and need to before "jumping in" :) With best regards, Sergiu K.
